Awesome product alert!!!

I have found 2 products that I LOVE & I just had to share with you. Yesterday I was talking about some updating I had done to my laundry room. Right in my laundry room are these 2 favorite products that make laundry much more enjoyable!!!

First one is Tide Febreze Sport- which I have been using for awhile. We have a lot of sports and working out going on with all the people in our household. Along with that is... sweaty gym clothes- YUCK! Recently I discovered Downy Un Stopables they are these little sprinkles that you just put right on top of the clothes. It makes my whole laundry room smell super fresh and clean!!  And all of our clothes & towels- even the really, sweaty work out clothes, smell "fresh as a daisy" :)

Has anyone else tried either one? Do you love them? Any other laundry products that you absolutely LOVE! I would love to hear about them :)

Thanks for stopping by- and check out Fast Project Friday tomorrow!!!

Progress on my workspace/laundry room!!

It's so hard to believe less than a week before the kids go back to school. I know I have said it before- but this summer has just flown by!!  I have more progress to report on my downstairs multi functioning room. It functions as a Laundry, workspace & office. Little by little I am finishing it!!

BEFORE

this was taken during the home inspection, so it was before we even moved in...

PROGRESS

I shared this post back in April & if you remember I said it was a work in progress!!!
 Well progress has came!

 AFTER

Our dryer was going out so I found the matching dryer to our washer, plus the pedestals for $200 total on craigslist!  I was beyond ecstatic & I think it really finishes off the space. I also painted the wall so it matches the rest of the room. I just love the energy it brings to the room!!

On the shelf, I found bowls for super cheap from Target. I simply put a tag with each of our names on it & when I find things left in pockets, I just put the item in the bowl labeled for that person.
The basket I keep up there for any delicate or hand washable items.

I found this iron board holder at Shopko for around $10. It holds the ironing board, iron and extra sprays. I have to say that I really love it!  It comes in handy to be able to hang it up & out of the way!

So I won't say that I am completely finished with this area, but it is done for now!  It also makes doing laundry a lot more fun!! There is something about being in a space that makes you smile :)

Thank so much for stopping by & tomorrow I am going to tell you about a product that I found that makes laundry even better!!  I can't wait to tell you about it!

Making laundry time a little easier!

Hello! Laundry is probably my least favorite things to do around the house- I would rather clean toilets!! It's just that it is never ending... at least a toilet stays clean for a little while :) With that being said I am always looking for ways to make laundry a little easier.

My kids had tall wicker laundry baskets that were awkward to carry.  I wanted them to have more responsibility when it came to laundry but it made me nervous for them to carry the awkward baskets up & down the stairs.

While at Ikea we found a great solution!  These new laundry hampers are just what we were looking for. They are really light weight, have handles and are really easy to carry. It is called Fyllen Laundry basket we got one in red for our son & one in gray for our daughter. What's even more of a bonus is they are only $7.99!

So now they are responsible for it- when it is full it is their job to haul it down the the laundry room..

Then the "magical laundry fairy" aka- ME- washes, dries & folds the laundry- then the kiddos are responsible for hauling it back up to their rooms & putting it away.

What is your least favorite household chore? Is there something that you have found that makes it a little better? Thanks again for stopping by!  Remember to check in tomorrow for another Fast Project Friday!!!
