When my son turned 8 we had a pirate party for him. It was really fun so I wanted to blog about what we did incase someone else might find it fun too!
First I ordered invitations like this- these ones are from www.birthdayinabox.com & they are just a sample- not our actual invites. I had so many people comment how fun it was to get these in the mail!
The day of the party I put up a pirate banner and a beware of pirates sign
Then I put together the pirate food...
Next was the pirate menu-The Yo Ho Ho Chicken were chicken fingers, Goldfish were obviously goldfish, Shark Blood- Hawaiian punch
Pirate Swords- kabobs with pineapple, grape large marshmallows & strawberries
Pirate Peg Legs- carrot sticks, Ahoy Matey Fish Sticks, Shrimp "Me Harteys"
I had a very happy little Pirate Birthday Boy!!!
I found some fun balloons
And made Pirate cupcakes!
For a fun pirate game I made up a treasure map of our house and backyard and made up 8 clues. Each clue gave them the clue to the next spot where another clue was waiting. The last clue led them to a treasure chest with all the goodie bags.
It was a super fun party & my son and his friends had a fun time! It's hard to believe that it has been 2 years since that party. My how time flies!!
Have you done a theme party that turned out really fun? Thanks again for stopping by today!!
Faith
